Anvanced 3D Environments final project

This is my final project for the Advanced Environments class. The idea was to do a fantasy-like rural landscape with a windmill of sorts and grand mountains in the background. Basic models done in Maya, complete modeling in Zbrush, painted in Mudbox. The final renders in Maya still need some work, but I'm satisfied with it for now.

These are inspirations used for modeling.

Stump

This is the second project for the Advanced Environments class that focused on more organic modeling, in which we had to create a stump using a Maya object as a base and then finish the details in Zbrush. This is the first time I've ever used Zbrush and I like the results

I started with a sketch.

This is the Zbrush model.

Finished house project

I'm still crappy at rendering my projects, and the surrounding landscape is nothing spectacular. So yeah...done.

The Unnecessarily Long pitch bible

So it has been brought to my attention that I never posted my pitch bible from last semester's Characters and Environments. Sorry! Here it is, in all its glory. Huzzah.

House update

References I've worked from, shot near the CCS campus.

Modeling is finished, now to texture this beast! I took away the ugly square tower which didn't really belong with the whole aesthetic of the building. Added some details, including window curtains. Overall, I like the look. The little room on the left is supposed to be a glass sunroom.

House model in progress

An assignment for Advanced Environments that I will be working on until mid-semester. This house will be fully textured in the upcoming weeks. The model is based on a few houses.
